One of the units is a large four bedroom lakefront home that can house up to eighteen people!  All units feature full kitchens with microwaves and drip coffee makers, TVs, and most have large decks overlooking the water.  All the cabins have new roofs as of October 2023 and many have received new flooring and furnishings to improve the customer experience.

The resort has three row boats, four kayaks, and a canoe available for use on site.  The resort has a rental outboard motor and there are some nearby outfitters with other rentals – or you could expand the rental boat opportunities at the resort.  After a long day of fishing or paddling around the lake, guests may cool off and enjoy the resort’s swim area.

Fire pits are a Minnesota resort essential.  After a day out on the lake or hiking through the woods, the resort fire pits are the perfect place to roast some s’mores, cook up your catch, or just share some stories.  The picnic tables outside the cabins are also the perfect place to enjoy a meal by the lake.

The area is full of antique and gift stores for guests to enjoy, Lake Country Antique Shoppe, Olde Town Creamery, The Depot and the Buffalo Nickel just to name a few.  If that isn’t enough, the Wright County Swap Meet has become a weekend tradition for locals and shoppers from all over, and was voted Minnesota’s best flea market by WCCO.  It has grown into the largest seasonal outdoor market in Minnesota averaging 200-300 sellers on Saturday and 400+ on holiday weekends!  Guests also enjoy Pioneer Heritage Village which began in 1972 as an educational museum to display the history of the area’s early pioneers. For 40 years, countless members, volunteers, patrons, and visitors have been involved in their mission to encourage an appreciation of the pioneer heritage of Central Minnesota through education and displays of artifacts with an emphasis on the late 1800’s and early 1900’s.

When guests are on vacation they like to go out to eat and Maple Hill Resort is located near a number of great eating establishments!  Whether they are looking for a quick bite to take for a day on the lake, or somewhere to sit down and have a great meal, there is something for everyone.  The Waterfront Lakeside Grille overlooks the lake with floor to ceiling glass, the Hitching Post just south of the resort offers a variety of hamburgers and sandwiches, on and off sale beer and liquor, and a great multiple-screen venue for sports events, and of course Nelson Brothers Restaurant, a hard to believe truck stop with a great onsite bakery and deli. Annandale and Clearwater also host several small, family-oriented restaurants which are great for a good meal.

Winter Attractions Too

In the winter, guests can enjoy the Powder Ridge Ski Area which offers downhill skiing, snowboarding, and a brand new snow tube hill. It is only seven miles west of the resort.  Winter guests can also enjoy Lake Maria State Park, which offers 14 miles of groomed cross-country trails as well as ice skating and warming houses. This park is just seven miles east of the resort.


The resort has received numerous upgrades over the years and is super clean!
